Sunday night at the MGM Grand Las Vegas was one of those times, as Ms. Perry appeared a a surprise special guest of The Rolling Stones.

Las Vegas nightclubs like XS in Encore, and Marquee in The Cosmopolitan LV lead the nation in revenue according to a survey of the Top 100 Bars and Nightclubs by Nightclub & Bar. Ever wonder what the XS and Encore taken in, each? The number's north of $80 million - and that's for just one year. Nightclub & Bar reports:

Two Las Vegas nightclubs broke records in 2012, as XS Nightclub and Marquee Las Vegas each generated annual revenues in excess of $80 million and delivered results so similar that they share the #1 spot on the Top 100 list. Marquee, the mega-club in The Cosmopolitan, continued to draw tremendous crowds and feature top-notch entertainment in its third year of operation, while the luxurious XS remained a hot spot within the Wynn Las Vegas, attracting high-profile partiers.

In all, Las Vegas Nighclubs represented almost one-quarter of the 100 venues surveyed: Nightclub, Marquee LV, TAO LV, Surrender Nightclub, Pure Nightclub, Tryst Nightclub, LAVO LV, Hyde Bellagio, HAZE, 1 OAK Las Vegas, LAX Nightclub, Vanity, ghOstbar, The Chandelier Bar, The Bank Nightclub, Drais Afterhours LV, MOON, Chateau Nightclub & Gardens, Stoney’s Rockin Country, Gallery Nightclub, and Lagasse’s Stadium all made the Nightclub and Bar Top 100 List. Russian Meteor Causes Sonic Boom, 400 Injured

("Причины Sonic Boom, 400 ранены) On Friday at 9:20 AM in Russia, a meteor flew over the Ural Mountain Range and as it did, the sonic boom caused damage to a large number of buildings, including a plant and a school, and in turn caused injuries to 400 people. While the talk was that an asteroid called 2012 DS14 was to pass within 17,000 miles of Earth, this was not that object. It calls into question how much we really know, and where the next one will strike next.
